Short on time?  Technology can be a huge timesaver for support tasks.  Here are a few examples:

Old: Post grades in a gradebook using pencil or pen.  Average grades using calculator & record the averages.

New:
Post grades in an electronic gradebook.  Averaging is dome automatically & reports can be printed.  Note: Some companies make 'lite' but fully functional versions of their gradebook available for free or very little cost.
                                  =============

Old:  Take a photo with an instant film camera ($!) to document a student's project.  Or use a film camera & wait (& pay) for processing.

New: Use a digital camera to take the photo & save it to the computer.
                                  =============

Old:  Write notes to parents using pen, the go to the copier so you'll have documentation.

New: Use a word processor & print as many as you need, saving a copy on the computer for documentation.  Or, open it again later & modify it rather than typing it again.
                                  =============

Old:  Write what you want to share with your class on overhead transparencies.

New: Use a presentation program such as MS PowerPoint to make your message more eye-appealing.  Print on transparencies if you must, or use an LCD projector if available.

                                  =============

Old:  Write student names on all four sheets of the student profiles each six weeks.  Fill in the blanks with D's & SD's by hand.

New: Use the Excel version of the profiles (which they used to draw the forms in the first place) and type the names once on the first page then "paste" them onto the remaining pages.  Let the computer put in multiple D's then change the ones needed to SD's.

                                  =============

Got the idea?

If it's repetitive,
see if it's something the technology can do.
If it's visual,
see if it's something the technology can do.
If it's reproducible,
see if it's something the technology can do.
